Role Overview

Sodexo, Inc.: Group Internal Auditor – Bethesda, MD

What You'll Do

+ Perform internal operational and financial audits in all Sodexo activities (contract management, finance, supply chain, HR, sales, transversal strategic topics etc.) and follow up the timely implementation of corrective actions.

+ Write audit reports and present results to local and Group management.

+ Conduct special audits as requested by Group Chairwoman, Chief Executive Officer, Comex members, Chief Financial Officer, including special assistance to our entities, etc.

+ Develop and deliver audit output and opinions (verbal and written) on the Group's Internal Controls including:

o Compliance with Group Policies, procedures, legal, contractual requirements, and approved codes of practice.

o Provide a holistic view of risk management in the language business understands.

o Identify gaps in controls and risk management and share good practices and insights across Sodexo.

+ Analyze root-causes of internal control deficiencies, recommend improvements to address root causes and coach Senior Management in internal control best practices.

+ Correlate the audit work to the "bigger picture" and actively identify common themes to deliver meaningful insights and appropriate context to support action.

+ Write audit reports in English and present main results to local and Group management.

+ Build trust and partnership with the business, advise, and share best practices with the various audited functions and entities.

What You Bring

+ Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in accounting, business, finance or internal audit followed by 5 years of progressively responsible experience with financial/accounting, internal/external audit or risk management operations. Experience must include:

- 3 years of experience in financial systems operations, including risks and internal controls

- 3 years of experience operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple projects/ initiatives.

- 3 years of experience managing large/complex projects and synthesizing and summarizing voluminous information into executive presentations.

- 3 years of experience assessing processes and the design and implementation of internal controls and their continuous improvement.

- 3 years of experience reporting and communication experience (written and verbal) conveying executive summaries to influence and affect change.

- 3 years of experience partnering with stakeholders at all levels within an organization

- 3 years of experience in analyzing data, evaluating trends, assessing risks and impact to develop insights.

- 3 years of practical audit experience for an international organization.

Demonstrated knowledge of the service industry processes, including cash/inventory handling, contract management, billing, health & safety, human resources etc.

Telework: Hybrid position; part-time telecommuting authorized

Travel: Up to 40% domestic and international travel

SALARY: $128,149 - $138,600 per year
