The role you'll contribute:

Responsible for providing financial counseling and education to patients and their families. This position reviews daily census reports to identify uninsured patients and Medicaid Share of Cost patients. This role collects required documents from patients or their representatives to obtain financial assistance or approval for other programs. This position actively participates in delivering outstanding customer service. Additionally, this role maintains respectful relationships with all individuals.

The value you'll bring to the team:

+ Reviews daily census and processes cases for patients requesting assistance, ensuring all proper documentation is obtained.

+ Counsels patients or representatives on hospital accounts to meet requirements for charity programs and state-funded programs.

+ Identifies in-patients with Medicaid Share of Cost (SOC) for bill tracking and submission to the Department of Children and Families (DCF).

+ Identifies patients with Medicaid eligibility who have delivered a newborn during the current admission and adds the newborn to the guarantor's Medicaid.

The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:

Required qualifications:

+ High School Grad or Equiv

+ 1 Work Experience

Preferred qualifications:

+ Associate

+ Certified Patient Account Specialist (CPAS)
