    Now Hiring: Paint Technicians | Aviation Industry Leader | Wichita, KS | $37–$40/hr

     

    PDS Tech Commercial is hiring **Paint Technicians** in Wichita, KS to support a global leader in the aviation industry. In this role, you’ll bring your craftsmanship and attention to detail to the forefront—preparing, treating, and finishing aircraft surfaces to ensure the highest standards of safety, quality, and appearance.

    What You’ll Do

    + Interpret engineering drawings to identify paint preparation and application requirements.

    + Prepare hangar and aircraft surfaces by applying safety absorbent, stripping old paint, and cleaning surfaces.

    + Assist with positioning and moving aircraft into appropriate bays.

    + Mask, unmask, and re-mask aircraft to protect windows and other sensitive areas.

    + Remove contaminants, sand, grind, buff, and apply putty or sealant as needed.

    + Apply Alodine, primers, and paint using spray equipment.

    + Perform touch-ups and finishing work to ensure a flawless result.

    + Document all tasks per Inspection Procedures Manual (IPM).

    + Support production, flight test, and other departments as required.

    + Assist fellow team members within your area of qualification.

     

    What You’ll Bring

    Required:

    + Ability to follow safety and general work requirements.

    + Strong attention to detail and willingness to work in a fast-paced aviation environment.

    Preferred:

    + Experience with aircraft preparation, painting, and finishing (or equivalent industry experience).

    + Knowledge of surface prep, masking, and chemical/paint application processes.

    **Pay Details:** $37.00 to $40.00 per hour
