We’re looking for a seasoned Senior Security Engineer with 5–10 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity, with a strong focus on AWS cloud environments. This role demands a deep command of security architecture, cloud infrastructure, and sophisticated threat detection and response techniques.
As a key member of our team, you’ll spearhead efforts to strengthen our security posture, drive strategic initiatives, and serve as a trusted mentor to junior engineers. You’ll work cross-functionally to safeguard our digital assets, ensuring our systems remain resilient, compliant, and ahead of emerging threats.
Accountabilities:
+ Lead the design, implementation, and management of advanced endpoint protection, detection, and response tools.
+ Apply the MITRE ATT&CK framework to proactively identify and mitigate attack techniques.
+ Architect and oversee IAM security strategies including user permissions, role-based access control, and auditing across AWS and other cloud platforms.
+ Analyze and respond to complex security events using SIEM tools, providing expert-level insights.
+ Drive AWS cloud security initiatives, including configuration reviews, compliance checks, and threat modeling.
+ Implement and manage enterprise-level SSO and MFA solutions.
+ Develop and maintain scripts to automate security operations and incident response processes.
+ Optimize email security configurations, including Microsoft Defender and other advanced threat protection tools.
+ Lead end-user security awareness programs and training initiatives.
+ Manage Active Directory domain security, Group Policy, and integration with cloud identity providers.
+ Oversee DNS and certificate management with a focus on secure configurations.
+ Design and monitor firewall rules and network segmentation strategies.
+ Collaborate with stakeholders to align security strategies with business objectives.
+ Take ownership of complex security projects and work independently with minimal supervision.
+ Mentor junior security staff and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
+ 5–10 years of experience in cybersecurity roles with a focus on cloud security.
+ Expertise in AWS cloud security including IAM, VPC, security groups, and compliance frameworks.
+ Proficiency with endpoint protection and SIEM tools.
+ Hands-on experience with Entra, Okta, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
+ Advanced scripting skills in PowerShell, Python, or similar languages.
+ Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
+ Proven ability to manage complex security projects and mentor team members.
+ Continuous learning mindset with a track record of adopting new technologies and practices.
Compensation:
$115,000 - $145,000 commensurate with experience, plus bonus eligibility
