Join Iowa Lutheran Hospital as a Nurse Supervisor, providing essential leadership support to our inpatient team. 3 East is a 27-bed Medical/Surgical unit that delivers nursing care to patients with a wide range of diagnoses, including respiratory, gastroenterology, endocrinology, infectious disease, and stroke.

Responsibilities

The Unit Supervisor:

+ Provides leadership as part of the unit management team.

+ Coordinates unit management activities in conjunction with the manager/director.

+ Facilitates staff development within the unit in collaboration with the manager/director.

+ Implements the day-to-day operational plan of the unit under the direction of the manager/director.

+ Serves as a resource to other health team members on the assigned unit.

+ Collaborates with other departments to promote cost-effective health care.

+ May serve patients across the lifespan, including infants, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.

+ Assumes patient care assignments based on unit needs.

Qualifications

+ Completion of an accredited nursing program.

+ Baccalaureate degree preferred.

+ Current Iowa RN license required.

+ Minimum of three years of clinical experience preferred, with recognized knowledge and expertise in caring for a specific patient population.
