The Office of Inspector General at the Department of Children, Youth, and Families is hiring a Limits on Public Funds Coordinator! This position will lead the development, implementation, and administration of the Limits on Receiving Public Funds program under Minn. Stat. 142A.12. This high-impact role will coordinate efforts across the Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF), counties, Tribal nations, and other state and federal agencies. The incumbent will serve as a subject-matter expert and lead worker, driving policy development, stakeholder engagement, and executive-level communications.
Responsibilities include:
+ Lead the ongoing planning, implementation and project management processes for DCYF’s implementation of Minn Stat. 142A.12, Limits on Receiving Public Funds.
+ On an ongoing basis, coordinate and lead stakeholder engagement related to Minn Stat. 142A.12, Limits on Receiving Public Funds.
+ Lead DCYF’s activities related to Minn.Stat. 142A.12 by supporting OIG leadership in sensitive, political and executive level interactions; provide analysis and recommendations; and develop executive level communications.
+ Lead the ongoing planning, implementation and management processes for OIG’s role in recovering overpayments and other monetary recoveries.
Minimum Qualifications

Four (4) years of experience in one or more of the following areas:
+ Investigations, fraud detection, or administrative case management
+ Strategic project leadership or policy implementation in a public sector or regulatory environment
AND
Experience must demonstrate:
+ Data systems, engagement planning, and standardizing procedures.
+ Preparing executive-level reports, presentations, and communications.
+ Advanced whole-organization project management and strategic planning expertise.
+ Ability to interpret and apply complex statutes and regulations, including Minn. Stat. 142A.12 or similar public program compliance frameworks.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Bachelor's or master's degree in public administration, public policy, law, social work, or a related field.
+ Experience working in human services programs or social work, with knowledge of programs administered by DCYF.
+ Experience managing interagency initiatives involving counties, Tribal nations, or federal partners.
+ Demonstrated success in legislative engagement, including drafting proposals, testifying before committees, or coordinating with policy staff.
+ Strong grasp of legislative processes, cross-agency functions, and vendor contract management.
+ Variety of experiences working effectively with others from different backgrounds and cultures.
