Facilities Maintenance Plumber

**Description:** General Maintenance Mechanic tasks include any activity needed for maintaining the plant facilities and equipment\.
The successful candidate must have a working knowledge of plumbing systems and be capable of identifying, troubleshooting, repairing and performing preventative maintenance in a commercial/industrial work environment\.
Plumbers’ general duties include but not limited to Install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems and plumbing fixtures\.
Respond to, diagnose, and resolve plumbing emergencies\.
Perform routine inspections of plumbing and drainage system\.
Other Duties and Responsibilities but not limited to:
Installs, repairs, maintains and fabricates, as required, plant facilities and equipment and performs other general
maintenance and service functions\. Duties include, but are not limited to power plant, mechanical and electrical repairs and maintenance, welding, pipefitting, air conditioning, carpentry work and painting\. Performs periodic inspections and tests and reports findings\. Receives general instructions from supervisors and notice of service
required from supervisors and other plant personnel\. Works from blueprints, sketches and oral instructions and specifications\. Uses all hand tools, power tools, and other equipment necessary for completion of assignments\.
May direct other employees assigned to the job\.
Basic Qualifications:
Must have a primary and secondary skill, one of which must be plumber, carpenter, pipe fitter, air conditioning, mechanic, maintenance welder or machine repairer\.
Must be able to operate material handling equipment and rigging equipment\.
Apprenticeship papers, Journeymen’s card or 5 years or more of equivalent work experience in
a skilled trade discipline is required\.
Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment are necessary\.
The candidate must supply all customary hand tools of the trade\.
Will be required to acquire a government security clearance\.
Must regularly demonstrate the ability to lift a nominal weight, climb ladders, utilize elevated working platforms and bending while servicing equipment\.
U\.S Citizenship Required\.
Desired Skills:
Working knowledge of machine tools and welding is a plus\.
**Security Clearance Statement:** This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration\.

**Ability to Work Remotely:** Onsite Full\-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility\.
**Work Schedules:** Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees\. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed\. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits\.
**Schedule for this Position:** Standard Monday to Friday 40 hour work week
The base range for this position in New Jersey is $31\.09 \- $40\.32\.
