+ Chesterfield, Missouri - _On-Site 100%_
+ _Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 8:00a - 5:00p_
+ Salary: Starting at **$20.00 - 26.00 per hour** depending on experience on contract (please note ideal pay if transitioning to a permanent role after contract is up to $24, potentially 25/hr.)
+ Duration: Contract to hire (based on performance, attendance)

We’re seeking a **dedicated Accounts Payable Specialist** to join our team and play a key role in safeguarding company assets, maintaining accurate financial records, and delivering top-tier service to our vendors and internal teams.
What You'll Do:
As an **Accounts Payable Specialist** , you will be responsible for the timely and accurate review, auditing, and payment of vendor invoices and employee reimbursements. You’ll serve as a key liaison between the company and its suppliers, helping maintain strong, professional relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Process a high volume of electronic and verbal communications with suppliers and internal departments regarding:
+ Invoice payment inquiries
+ Discrepancy resolution
+ Cash discount terms
+ Other AP-related matters
+ Monitor and manage Accounts Payable email queues; research, respond, and escalate issues as needed.
+ Verify vendor numbers, payment dates, and discounts for workflow invoices.
+ Reconcile variances between purchase orders and supplier invoices.
+ Assist suppliers with payment portal setup and ongoing support.
+ Resolve supplier debit balance issues that impact profitability.
+ Process complex invoice allocations and manual payment requests (e.g., supplier down payments).
+ Audit expenses for tax accuracy and make necessary accruals.
+ Proactively identify process improvements and assist in implementation.
What You Bring to the Table:
+ **Minimum 1 year** of Accounts Payable experience
+ Experience with **SAP** or similar ERP and **intermediate Excel skills** required
+ Understanding of debits and credits in relation to AP
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
+ Ability to work independently or collaboratively
+ Strong organizational and time-management skills; able to manage multiple priorities
+ Comfortable handling confidential information
+ Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to assess, resolve, or escalate issues quickly
