Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Junior Vulnerability Researcher (VR) to join our team! In this role you will get to work independently with a team doing advanced cybersecurity research and development for the US Government.

What You'll Be Doing:

+ Performing cybersecurity research using reverse engineering, fuzzing, and other dynamic techniques

+ Reverse engineering cyber physical systems to understand how they work

+ Researching open source materials such as source code, documentation, etc. to understand protocols and to enumerate attack surfaces

+ Documenting efforts using collaboration tools

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or another related field

+ Reverse engineering across various architectures and platforms; including x86/64, ARM, MIPS, etc.

+ Experience with disassemblers (IDA Pro, Binary Ninja, or Ghidra)

+ Knowledge of common exploitation countermeasures and defeats (DEP, ASLR, etc.)

+ Experience researching operating systems and applications to identify vulnerabilities in the design and implementation

+ Software development using C or C++ Ability to use a scripting language (Python, etc.)

+ At least one internship involving cybersecurity vulnerability research or extensive experience playing in Attack/Defend style Capture the Flag (CTF) events

+ US citizenship required

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

+ Malware reverse engineering and analysis

+ Development experience with RTOS

+ Understanding and/or development of kernel modules

+ Experience with hypervisors

+ Familiarity with modern exploitation techniques, tools, and methodologies

Salary Range: $62,300.00 - $109,000.00
