Job Summary and Qualifications

Under the general direction of the Chief Operating Officer, the Director of Facility Services is responsible for the overall operation of the Plant Operations Department inclusive of administrative and technical operation. Utilizing effective planning, organizing, directing, coordinating, and controlling mechanisms, the Director of Facility Services ensures that efficient and effective services are provided while enhancing attainment of individual personnel and Hospital objectives.

What will you do in the role:

+ Plans, directs, and supervises all administrative and technical aspects of the Plant Operations and Housekeeping Departments related to building, plant, grounds maintenance, safety, housekeeping and linen services.

+ Determines personnel requirements for the Plant Operations and Housekeeping Departments and recommends and implements policies and procedures to maintain an adequate number of competent staff.

+ Maintains Plant Operation services in accordance with the standards established by the Hospital, Federal, State, and local standards.

+ Establishes and maintains a Quality Control Program to ensure consistent reliability of the function of all essential utility services within the facility.

What qualifications you will need:

+ College degree in related field preferred.

+ Five (5) years at a supervisory or management level and three (3) years experience in a health care setting.

+ Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in provision of maintenance
