    The vision of Gas Turbine Fuel Systems Division is to be the global leader in the design, development, manufacture, and service of engine fuel, lubrication, and thermal management systems and components for aerospace/defense and industrial applications. By leveraging our expertise in analysis, atomization, combustion, fluid metering, and control — coupled with enterprise excellence — we will exceed customer expectations and achieve our business objectives.

    SUMMARY:

    Applies advanced, specialized knowledge of accounting principles, methods and techniques to perform complex accounting functions and analyses in areas of financial analysis, cost accounting, general accounting, budgeting, planning and forecasting. Responsible for the accuracy, integrity, control and timeliness of financial reports, analyses, systems, and processes.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    + Compiles and analyzes complex accounting information to provide management with accounting information necessary to make critical business decisions.

    + Audits current accounting policies and practices to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, cost accounting standards and applicable government statutes. May lead project teams in developing new policies and compiling desk instructions.

    + Designs, develops and implements systems and procedures to meet future business needs or regulatory requirements and coordinates implementation efforts across the division.

    + Prepares complex financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.

    + Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.

    + Applies and leads continuous improvement initiatives to improve the efficiency of internal systems and processes within the division and/or with corporate and customer involvement.

    + Recommends actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses. Researches and interprets complex accounting policies and regulations. Analyzes proposed changes in methods and policies.

    + Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing professional networks, and/or participating in professional societies.

    + Complies with federal and state legal requirements and professional standards. Studies existing and new legislation, enforces adherence to requirements, and advises management on needed actions.

    + Acts as consultant to management on major matters. Establishes goals and objectives required to complete projects. Identifies mentoring needs. Trains and mentors less experienced employees. May provide leadership to others in department or to ad-hoc teams. May serve as functional expert.

    + Shares specialized knowledge with others. Represents company on specific projects. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Work assignments may include cross-functional or project team responsibilities (e.g. continuous improvement).

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    + Bachelor’s degree (BS) in accounting. Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job typically acquired throughten or more years of related experience.

    + Advanced, specialized knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, laws, and regulations.

    + Thorough knowledge of Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and/or Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).

    + Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing industry.

    + Ability to effectively assess, lead, and implement continuous improvement in critical and/or high-impact areas.

    + Proficient with automated accounting systems, spreadsheet applications, and intra/internet communications.

    + Ability to read, analyze, and interpret specialized, diverse, and complex financial reports.

    + Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from auditors, business teams, management, customers, regulatory agencies, or other members of the business community.

    + Ability to effectively communicate and present information to team members, team leaders, and top management.

    + Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

    + Ability to effectively demonstrate team member competencies and participate in goal setting, performance feedback, and self-development activities.
