The team is r esponsible for shielding the company’s systems from security risks, while designing technology strategies that enable AIG’s businesses to achieve their goals.     How you will make an impact

     

    AIG’s S ummer I nterns are immersed in the day-to-day operations of a fast-moving, global insurance company. During the 10-week program , y ou will gain valuable, hands-on experience and insurance industry knowledge , work ing with leaders on dynamic projects, with plenty of opportunity for challenges, learning and achievement.

     

    S ummer I nterns join one of our key business teams , which offers a unique opportunity to obtain core technical knowledge and professional skills in a diverse environment. In addition to meaningful on-the-job experiences , interns will join instructor - led masterclasses, hear directly from senior leaders, and build meaningful connections through mentoring circles, networking events and volunteering.

     

    Following completion of the program , interns may be considered for a n A nalyst role beginning in the summer of 202 7 in one of our Information Technology functions. Functions include:

     

    Architecture : Assists senior architects in designing, documenting, and implementing technical solutions that align with business needs.

     

    Software Engineering : Developing and maintaining front-end user interfaces, back-end services, and API gateway components under the guidance of senior engineers in Angular, Java Spring boot and MuleSoft respectively leveraging AI based coding Assistance.

     

    Delivery Quality : Developing and executing automated tests, analyzing results, and documenting defects to ensure products and processes meet established quality standards under the supervision of senior engineers using Gen AI based testing frameworks.

     

    Release Management : configuring and maintaining development and testing environments, automates build and deployment processes. Creates release plan and schedule for product roll outs .

     

    Production Stabilization : Monitoring Assist systems, investigating and resolving application issues, and providing timely technical assistance to users, develop Observability dashboards leveraging Splunk and Gen AI solutions.

     

    What you’ll need to succeed

     

    AIG seeks candidates who have excelled in previous work experience, demonstrated outstanding academic and extracurricular achievement, possess strong analytical, quantitative and interpersonal skills, and are enthusiastic about the insurance industry .

     

    We also look for a diverse background of experience, culture and thought. Successful candidates typically have a global perspective and a team-oriented track record .

    Required

    Bachelor’s degree, or candidate for Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of a 3.4 GPA to be received no later than June 202 7 in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or Cybersecurity (unofficial transcript required upon application).

     

    Program Dates

     

    Our 2026 Summer Internship Program will run from June 1 to August 7 , 202 6 .

     

    Locations

     

    Early Career Gen AI T echnology Summer Intern positions are in-person opportunities and are available in Atlanta ( GA ) . When we work in the office, we experience greater connections with opportunities to collaborate, i nnovate and learn together.
