    About the Role

     

    We are seeking a strategic and visionary Senior Vice President (SVP) of Product to lead our product organization in shaping and delivering our market-leading software solutions for government and enterprise clients. This executive will lead the next phase of StreetLight’s growth - expanding into a broader suite of products for transportation and infrastructure professionals, and flourishing with the rise of AI.

     

    The SVP of Product will oversee Product Management, Technical Research, Documentation, and UX/UI. This leader will be a key member of the executive team, working cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Engineering, and Customer Success to drive product excellence and company growth.

     

    This position can be remote aligned to a Jacobs office based in North America.

    Key Responsibilities

    Strategic Leadership

    • Create and execute a roadmap that meets sales targets for our suite of products. This is the key definition of success for this SVP.

    • Define and communicate the company’s long-term product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with corporate goals and market opportunities.

    • Drive the evolution of a suite of interconnected products that meet customer needs and reinforce competitive differentiation.

    • Develop/maintain deep familiarity with our core markets - government transportation agencies, private transportation companies, and other enterprises impacted by transportation.

    • Design processes and products that take advantage of AI to speed up the development of new products and improve efficiency and experience in existing products.

    • Collaborate with executive leadership to set company-wide priorities and ensure product initiatives support revenue growth and profitability targets.

    Product Management & Research

    • Refine and scale the company’s standard product management and development process, ensuring clarity, consistency, and rigor in roadmap development, requirements gathering, and prioritization.

    • Lead product managers in developing and maintaining product roadmaps, business cases, and go-to-market strategies.

    • Ensure each product line is measured against clear revenue and adoption goals, with accountability for meeting or exceeding targets.

    • Oversee product research and competitive intelligence to ensure the company remains at the forefront of innovation in our markets.

    Cross-Functional Collaboration

    • Partner closely with Engineering and Data Science leadership to ensure timely and successful product delivery. Provide a bridge to

    • Work seamlessly with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to align on customer messaging, positioning, and feedback loops that support market penetration and revenue outcomes. Provide a bridge to technical teams, above.

    • Build relationships with key clients and stakeholders, represent the company at industry events, StreetLight events, and with clients.

    • 15+ years of experience in product roles within enterprise software companies (SaaS), including at least 5 years in senior, strategic leadership and in overseeing diverse product functions: product management, UX/UI, research, and documentation:

    • Track record of building and scaling a portfolio or suite of software products,

    • Experience with products involving complex data science and big data.

    • Proven experience establishing and refining product management processes to improve organizational effectiveness.

    • Documented accountability for achieving product revenue and growth targets.

    • Hold product teams accountable to outcomes, not just output, and instill a results-driven mindset.

    Ideally you will also have:

    • Strong understanding of market analysis, competitive dynamics, and customer-driven innovation.

    • Demonstrated success leading product in the government and/or enterprise software markets. Experience in transportation and traffic markets preferred.

    • Proven ability to work effectively across departments, from engineering and design to marketing and sales, to deliver cohesive product outcomes.

    • Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to represent the company externally.

    • Change management capable, with a history of successfully introducing new initiatives or tools and leading distributed teams through change.
