We’re looking for a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) to serve as Engineer of Record (EOR) and lead multidisciplinary efforts in partnership with the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT).

    What You’ll Do

    * Lead roadway design tasks for highway transportation projects, including interchanges and elevated sections.

    * Serve as EOR on major TDOT projects, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance with state and federal standards.

    * Manage multi-discipline engineering design and oversee construction plan development.

    * Apply expertise in TDOT and FHWA design principles and alternative delivery methods (P3/PPP, design-build).

    * Build and maintain strong relationships with TDOT and other regional agencies.

    * Mentor junior engineers and foster a collaborative team culture.

    * Represent Jacobs at client meetings, public forums, and professional organizations.

    * Support proposal development and strategic pursuits for Tennessee-based transportation projects.

    * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.

    * Active PE license (Tennessee preferred or ability to obtain via reciprocity).

    * Minimum 10 years of transportation engineering experience, including P3/PPP projects.

    * Proven experience working with TDOT or similar transportation agencies.

    * Strong understanding of design-build, risk allocation, and lifecycle cost analysis.

    * Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
