    About the Role

     

    We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. In this high-volume role, you will play a key part in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations. The AP Specialist will be responsible for processing invoices, reconciling vendor statements, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining strong vendor relationships. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to a collaborative accounting team while supporting the company’s overall financial health.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Review, verify, and process vendor invoices accurately and on time

    + Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents

    + Code invoices to appropriate general ledger accounts

    + Prepare and process check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers

    + Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies

    + Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain strong working relationships

    + Assist with month-end closing by preparing accounts payable reports

    + Maintain accurate and organized AP files and documentation

    + Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls

    + Support audits and other finance-related projects as needed

     

    SALARY RANGE: $25.00 - $30.00/hour

    Requirements

    Qualifications

    + High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in Accounting or Finance preferred

    + 5 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Peachtree, etc.)

    + Strong attention to detail and accuracy

    + Excellent organizational and time management skills

    + Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
