Quality Engineer

Actalent is seeking a Quality Engineer for a full-time opportunity in Murfreesboro, TN. This role will work to improve overall quality of the manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities:

+ Lead supplier qualification and development initiatives to ensure compliance and performance.

+ Develop and utilize Key Process Indicators (KPIs) to assess process effectiveness, identify improvement opportunities, and promote continuous quality enhancement.

+ Drive corrective and preventive actions for quality-related project issues and test non-conformances.

+ Collaborate with production teams to enforce controls aligned with ISO 13485 and FDA QSR standards.

+ Maintain and document quality reporting, including trend analysis, returns categorization, and corrective actions.

+ Analyze production data and reports to identify trends and recommend updates to quality systems, standards, and procedures.

+ Apply statistical methods to define quality improvement parameters and establish confidence levels.

+ Design and implement sampling plans using attribute, variable, and sequential methods.

+ Maintain statistical process controls through advanced charting techniques.

+ Conduct hypothesis testing, normal distribution analysis, and process capability assessments.

+ Prepare and present data-driven reports with actionable recommendations.

+ Support cross-functional teams to achieve quality objectives.

Qualifications:

+ Strong interpersonal and presentation skills for effective communication with internal teams and external partners.

+ Excellent technical writing skills for preparing and reviewing documentation.

+ In-depth knowledge of quality control inspection practices.

+ Experience in the medical device industry preferred.

+ Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and FDA 21 CFR Part 820 regulations.

+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related scientific discipline required.

+ Green Belt or ASQ certification is a plus.

+ Proven track record in problem-solving and continuous improvement.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $105000.00/yr.
