    Description

    Perform venipunctures and capillary blood draws safely and efficiently.

     

    Collect, label, and transport specimens for laboratory testing.

     

    Ensure proper patient identification and maintain accurate records.

     

    Follow infection control and patient safety protocols.

     

    Provide routine and STAT testing support for blood, urine, and other body fluids.

     

    Communicate effectively with patients, especially those who may be anxious.

     

    Maintain specimen integrity and comply with VA and federal standards.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications

    Certified Phlebotomy Technician (California state license required)

     

    Current BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)

     

    At least 6 months of recent phlebotomy experience in a clinical or hospital setting

     

    Ability to read, write, and communicate fluently in English

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.
