    Quality Control Engineer – Stony Point, NY

     

    The Quality Control Engineer plays a key role in supporting manufacturing engineering through inspections, documentation improvements, and root cause analysis. This role is focused on driving yield and process enhancements across production operations.

    Schedule: Full-time | Onsite | 8:00 AM Start

     

    Reports to: QC Manager

    Key Responsibilities

    + Inspect purchased parts and subassemblies using standard tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, thread gages).

    + Accurately document inspection and testing results.

    + Maintain controlled document files and test records.

    + Assist in developing and updating inspection templates and tools.

    + Collaborate with engineering teams to evaluate issues and recommend solutions.

    + Lead process improvement initiatives using SPC metrics and Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.

    Required Skills & Experience

    + Education:BS in Engineering or Physical Sciences preferred (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Materials Science, etc.)

    + Experience:Minimum 5 years in Manufacturing and Quality Control

    + Technical Skills:

    + Quality control and assurance

    + Root cause analysis

    + Use of inspection equipment (calipers, gages, micrometers)

    + Electronics manufacturing

    + Quality management systems (QMS)

    + Software Proficiency:Strong skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

     

    Preferred Knowledge

     

    + MIL-Specs and MIL-STDs

    + Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing methods

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $80000.00/yr.

     

    Direct Hire - Growing lighting/electronics company. Small engineering team; lots of development and collaboration across teams. Great benefits and employee offerings including medical, dental, visiion benefits, and paid holidays and PTO.
