We are seeking a Project Architect with over seven years of experience to lead consultants and technical teams in the execution of healthcare project designs. The role involves collaborating with project managers to develop and manage production schedules, ensuring timely completion of projects. You will prepare, review, and coordinate implementation documents, ensuring they meet quality assurance standards and adhere to code and zoning requirements. This position also requires effective communication and coordination with clients, public agencies, consultants, and contractors to ensure project success.
Responsibilities
+ Lead consultants and technical teams for project design execution.
+ Develop and manage production schedules in collaboration with project managers.
+ Prepare, review, and coordinate implementation documents, ensuring adherence to QA/QC standards.
+ Manage technical resolution and coordinate specific project segments.
+ Lead code analysis to ensure compliance with relevant codes and zoning requirements.
+ Coordinate design group interactions and lead consultant team work sessions.
+ Maintain open communication with clients and provide project guidance.
+ Incorporate engineering systems and respond to requests for information and modifications.
+ Prepare and present client presentations, design concepts, and drawings.
+ Exercise persuasion and negotiation skills on critical issues.
+ Perform product research and assist in materials and systems evaluation.
+ Oversee the application of products and materials and manage potential project risks.
+ Lead team meetings and attend on-site visits, field reviews, and project meetings.
+ Prepare and review meeting minutes for consultant coordination meetings.
+ Resolve conflicts effectively and encourage a healthy team environment.
+ Collaborate with team leaders to deliver projects within budget requirements.
+ Travel as required for project needs.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in Revit and architectural design.
+ Experience in construction documentation and administration.
+ Ability to produce CD sets and perform design development.
+ Experience with commercial construction and healthcare projects.
+ Registered Architect with a basic understanding of codes and ADA.
+ Client interfacing skills and a client-oriented personality.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in architecture preferred.
+ U.S. citizenship required.
+ Experience with base building and construction drawings.
+ Involvement in diverse projects such as K-12, hospitality, and life sciences.
Work Environment
The position offers a flexible work schedule, combining in-office and remote work, typically three days in the office. New employees are encouraged to work from the office for more than four days during the first 30 days to become acclimated. Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, Virginia.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.86 - $45.67/hr.
