    Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor

    Job Description

    As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will ensure a safe and comfortable operating environment by directing the installation, maintenance, and repair of machines, tools, and equipment. You will identify current and future maintenance requirements by working closely with management, engineering, production personnel, tradesmen, and technicians.

    Responsibilities

    + Ensure production operations by determining work priorities and scheduling repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment.

    + Support product development and improvement by reviewing new product plans, discussing equipment needs and modifications with design engineers, and coordinating activities of technicians and workers.

    + Design, implement, and modify preventive maintenance programs by reviewing production and maintenance reports, and inspecting machines and equipment for conformance with operational standards.

    + Direct maintenance operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operation, and personnel policies and procedures.

    + Resolve maintenance problems by conferring with management, engineering, and quality control personnel.

    + Complete maintenance operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees and following up on work results.

    + Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and establishing personal networks.

    + Ensure compliance with IATF standards within the department.

    + Directly supervise the maintenance department, carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organization policies and applicable laws.

    + Assist with interviewing, hiring, and training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding, and disciplining employees, as well as addressing complaints and resolving problems.

    Essential Skills

    + Expertise in troubleshooting, mechanical, hydraulics, and electrical systems.

    + Experience with PLC troubleshooting.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with changeovers/setups on machinery and products.

    + Experience in the plastic field or automotive industry is a plus.

    Work Environment

     

    This role is based in a manufacturing environment with varying conditions. You will work with both older and newer machines, in buildings that can be either clean or dirty, depending on the assignment. Temperature conditions vary, requiring adaptability to hot and cold environments.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
