Job Title: Tool Crib Attendant
Job Description
As a Tool Crib Attendant, you will analyze job orders, engineering drawings, and other technical specifications to accurately identify tooling requirements. You will collect and assemble all necessary tools and fixtures needed to complete production jobs, sharpen tooling using grinders and other powered hand tools, and stock and organize materials and fixtures within the designated storage area. Additionally, you may issue purchase order requests for low-stock or unavailable items and enter inventory usage into the ERP system for accurate tooling inventory records. Effective communication with coworkers in manufacturing, quality, procurement, and other functional areas is essential.
Responsibilities
+ Identify and assemble necessary tooling for production jobs.
+ Sharpen and maintain tooling using grinders and powered hand tools.
+ Stock and organize materials and fixtures in the designated storage area.
+ Issue purchase order requests for low-stock or unavailable items.
+ Enter inventory usage into the ERP system for accurate records.
+ Communicate effectively with coworkers in various functional areas.
Essential Skills
+ Experience reading and accurately interpreting shop blueprints, technical drawings, and customer specifications.
+ Proficiency in using powered electric and/or pneumatic hand tools, including grinders or sanders.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in inventory control and tooling design.
+ Knowledge of tool crib operations and material handling.

Work Environment
The work environment includes exposure to excessive noise, requiring hearing protection, as well as dust, smoke, mist, fumes, and vapors regularly. You may occasionally encounter extreme temperatures. The role involves working with hazardous equipment, including forklifts, hand tools, cranes, and other lifting devices, typical of a machine shop environment. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 6:30 am to 5:00 pm.

This is a Contract position based out of Athens, Georgia.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.
