Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of equipment by handling maintenance tasks, responding to equipment breakdowns, and managing work orders through our online system.

Responsibilities

+ Maintain equipment and ensure operational efficiency.

+ Manage and complete work orders through the online work order program.

+ Respond to equipment breakdowns, such as replacing motors, rebuilding pumps, and replacing damaged belts.

+ Locate and request necessary parts for repairs and maintenance.

Essential Skills

+ A minimum of 3 years' experience in food processing maintenance mechanics, including work with pumps, conveyors, and gearboxes.

+ Proficiency with hand tools.

+ Knowledge of boilers, particularly for daily blowdown tasks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Being bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.

+ Experience with electrical tasks such as changing out a disconnect or motor is desirable.

+ Skills in fabrication are beneficial.

Work Environment

From May to September, the work schedule includes 6x10s to 6x12s, transitioning to a 5-day workweek thereafter. Day shifts start at 6 AM or 6:30 PM, swing shifts from 2 PM to 2:20 AM, and graveyard shifts from 10 PM to 10:30 AM. The workweek could be Monday to Friday or Tuesday to Saturday. On swing shifts, you will work alongside a Mechanic 1 and Mechanic 2, while graveyard shifts are independent with an on-call support number. During shifts, you report to a production manager and have access to a maintenance manager during the day. No additional medical, certification, or PPE requirements are necessary.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
