Job Title: Operations Leader

Job Description

As an Operations Leader, you will provide leadership and direction to six supervisors and approximately 250 hourly workers. You will be responsible for both day-to-day operations and long-term continuous improvement, engaging the workforce to reduce costs, and coordinating plant resources to improve metrics. Your role will involve promoting a positive work environment, coaching and mentoring supervisors, and ensuring adherence to company policies.

Responsibilities

+ Provide leadership and direction for salaried and hourly manufacturing employees.

+ Engage the workforce to reduce costs.

+ Coordinate all plant resources to address issues and improve metrics.

+ Promote a work environment that adheres to all company policies and principles.

+ Coach and mentor supervisors and core personnel.

+ Communicate departmental performance related to safety, quality, and cost.

+ Direct and manage cost reduction projects.

+ Develop annual departmental budgets.

+ Assist in hiring new employees, both hourly and salaried.

+ Manage day-to-day operations focusing on quality, customer service, and costs.

+ Maintain a safe working environment and ensure elimination of hazards.

+ Meet or exceed plant goals for quality, customer service, and costs.

Essential Skills

+ 5+ years of experience in a similar role.

+ Overall knowledge of general manufacturing.

+ At least 1 year of experience in a front-line supervisory role in a manufacturing environment.

+ Good written and verbal communication skills.

+ Comfortable with large group presentations.

+ Good problem-solving methodology.

+ Good interpersonal skills for handling employee issues.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ A degree is a plus, but not required.

Work Environment

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Franklin, Kentucky.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $130000.00 - $140000.00/yr.

-They award "bonus" days for perfect attendance. You can earn 1 bonus day for every 4 months of perfect attendance (up to 3 days per year - these are PAID days off).

-They do bonuses 2 times per year - the compensation is based on company performance and hitting core metrics

-Full time benefits after 30 days of employment (on the first day of the calendar month)

-Vacation - 40 hours 1st year

3 yrs - 2 weeks vacation

6 years - 3 weeks vacation

15 years - 4 weeks vacation
