We are growing Microsoft’s portfolio of cybersecurity products to help our customers stay secure and compliant as they digitally transform their businesses. Microsoft’s product portfolio spans security, compliance, identity, and management and covers end user identities, devices, Internet of Things (IoT), networks, servers as well as on-prem workloads and cloud workloads. We are investing to grow this business and are looking for a Senior Business Planner that will define business strategy and business models for Microsoft’s cloud security business.
In this high visibility role, you will be part of a high impact team that drives the business strategy, packaging, pricing and licensing for Microsoft’s cloud security business. Your goal is to develop new pricing, packaging and promotion strategies that drive growth in customer acquisition and Long Term Value (LTV). You will partner with engineering to deeply understand and influence product design and value, work with finance to model scenarios and create forecasts and targets, and work with product marketing and sales on go to market strategies. This role requires strategic thinking, business leadership & acumen, cross-group collaboration, analytical skills, and solid executive communication skills. Responsibilities
+ Define business strategy, business model, pricing, packaging, licensing, discounting and compete strategies
+ Orchestrate usage analysis, research and financial modelling to identify market growth opportunities and drive business case development
+ Drive decision making with senior executive stakeholders and orchestrate implementation and execution for launching new business models and offers
+ Engage closely with engineering to inform product development and drive alignment between product and monetization strategy
+ Partner with product marketing and sales teams on go to market strategies to land new offers in market, create promotions and enable compete strategies
+ Partner with operations teams on operationalizing new offerings and successfully making them available to customers and partners
+ Represent Business Planning in cross-company business planning forums, field, and partner events, etc.

Qualifications
Required/minimum qualifications
+ 5+ years product management, strategy consulting, finance, business/corporate development, or related experience
+ OR equivalent experience.
+ 3+ years of hands-on experience in software/cloud technologies, acquired in a tech company or as a core focus area within consulting projects.
Additional or preferred qualifications
+ 8+ years product management, strategy consulting, finance, business/corporate development, or related experience AND Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Computer Science, Economics, Business, or related field
+ OR 6+ years product management, strategy consulting, finance, business/corporate development, or related experience AND Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA), or related field
+ OR equivalent experience.
Business Planning IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
