Job Description:

Onset Technologies is seeking a QA Automation Analyst to develop, execute, and maintain automated and manual test scripts to ensure the quality of software applications. The ideal candidate will have experience preparing UAT test cases, aligning them with business requirements, and conducting walkthroughs with stakeholders. This role supports development, testing, and UAT environments, tracks test execution, reports defects, and develops traceability matrices. Experience in an Agile environment and proficiency in industry-standard QA tools is required.

Job Responsibilities / Duties

+ Develop, execute, and maintain manual and automated test scripts.

+ Prepare UAT test cases aligned with business requirements and conduct walkthroughs with stakeholders.

+ Track test case execution and report results.

+ Use Jira to log, track, and manage defects.

+ Develop and maintain requirements traceability matrices.

+ Support development, test, and UAT environments, troubleshooting defects as needed.

+ Participate in Agile sprints and work collaboratively with scrum teams to deliver software releases on time.

+ Coordinate UAT schedules and communicate progress to stakeholders; participate in test readiness reviews and provide recommendations for go/no-go decisions.

+ Conduct various testing types, including unit, integration, regression, smoke, system, user acceptance, stress, and performance testing.

+ Perform API testing using Postman, SOAPUI, JMETER, or similar tools.

+ Conduct automated testing using UFT and create/review performance testing scripts.

+ Ensure software usability, accessibility, and alignment with SDLC processes.

+ Communicate effectively with stakeholders and team members at all levels.

+ Assist in tracking time, estimating effort for changes or enhancements, and documenting testing procedures.

+ Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming is preferred.

+ Prior experience working with Texas HHS agencies and systems is preferred.

Required Skills & Experience

+ 8+ years experience in writing and executing test cases, creating test plans, and performing QA testing.

+ 8+ years experience with software usability concepts, requirements traceability, and SDLC processes.

+ 8+ years experience using Xray Test Case Management tool.

+ 8+ years experience with SQL query writing for CRUD operations.

+ 8+ years proficiency with CI/CD pipelines for testing processes.

+ 8+ years experience in API testing using Postman, SOAPUI, JMETER, or similar tools.

+ 8+ years experience in automated testing using UFT.

Preferred Skills & Experience

+ Experience working in Agile development environments.

+ Experience with the State of Texas HHS agency and related systems.

+ Familiarity with SharePoint and defect tracking tools.
