Minimum Qualifications
Possession of a current Louisiana license to practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) plus four years of counseling experience.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
+ Responsible for coordinating and providing community resources to assist CAHS clients, including judicially involved individuals.
+ Provide data to the administrators, occasionally making recommendations to improve services to clients, and act to implement programmatic changes upon administrative approval.
+ Responsible for planning, organizing, developing, and implementing specialized sub-programs to address specific problems
+ Provides group therapy and individual therapy as needed, to persons with addictive disorders and behavioral health issues using psychotherapy and other specialized therapeutic social work techniques and best practices to treat and educate individuals on how to cope with their addictions.
+ Prepares and maintains a complex caseload of clients who have a history of substance use disorders, other mental health issues, and co-occurring disorders.
+ Completes a thorough psychosocial assessment on clients who are seeking addiction treatment services.
+ Develops with each client their individual treatment plan listing goals and objectives, strengths, weaknesses, and an action plan.
+ Evaluates client’s progress in counseling sessions and documents client’s progress, setbacks, or any changes for each contact in his individual chart.
+ Consults with multidisciplinary treatment team to determine the proper diagnosis and correct level of care based on that diagnosis.
+ Prepares discharge plans and summaries upon the client’s completion of the program and assesses and assists each case for necessary referrals to other facilities.
+ Formulates and implements therapeutic activities for each client based on their individual treatment needs.
Position-Specific Details:
Appointment Type: Probational.
Work Schedule: 9 hours per day Monday - Thursday, 4 hours on Friday.
Compensation: The actual starting salary depends on the education and experience of the selected applicant.
