    Job Summary

    The College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking Serology – Virology Lab Student Assistants to support our Serology – Virology Lab team.

    Essential Functions

    • General Equipment Maintenance / Cleaning

    • Autoclaving

    • Sample Preparation for Testing

    • Maintain Liquid Nitrogen Supply

    • Make Buffers / Solutions

    • Maintain Supplies

    • Chemical Waste Management

    • Accession specimens

    • File, scan, and copy paperwork

    • Maintain safe and clean work environment

    • Order / Package Opening and Storing

     

    Often exposed to one or more elements such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, chemicals, etc.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Currently enrolled as an Auburn University undergraduate student

    • Planning to stay at least 2 semesters.

    • Must be available to work weekdays

    *Lab Operating Hours 8am-5pm (no weekend work)

    Preferred Qualifications

    Pay Rate

     

    $12.00-$14.00/hour
