    Murrey’s Disposal, a Waste Connections company, is actively hiring a Diesel Mechanic in Fife, Washington.

    Pay & Schedule

    + Hourly Pay: $35.00 – $36.00 + $1.50/hr shift differential

    + Schedule: Monday – Friday, 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM

    Key Responsibilities

    + Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel trucks and heavy equipment.

    + Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems.

    + Use vehicle diagnostic tools to identify and resolve mechanical issues.

    + Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with OSHA standards.

    + Maintain accurate records using fleet maintenance software.

    + Address issues from Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs).

    + Keep a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

    + Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.

    Qualifications

    + 1+ year of diesel mechanic or heavy truck repair experience, or completion of a vocational-technical program.

    + CDL preferred (or willingness to obtain within 90 days).

    + Must have personal tools.

    + Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.

    + Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and service documentation.

    + Welding experience is a plus!
