    Job Description

    This position serves as the first line supervisor overseeing the daily activities of the Data Operations Unit. The primary purpose of this unit is to provide data entry and imaging functions to their customers throughout Treasury. Duties include establishing and maintaining unit goals and objectives, establishing, and maintaining performance metrics, setting priorities and directing the work of full-time and temporary employees to ensure timely processing of documents. Other duties include assisting in the transition to a paperless environment, establishing controls for data input, investigating and correcting errors, communicating daily with customers, and performing supervisory duties, e.g. time and attendance, leave approval, performance reviews, and disciplinary action, if necessary.

     

    This position must understand the complexities of IBM DataCap imaging software, Siebel CRM, FileNet, SAP, and Power BI systems to oversee Data Operations testing and implementation of technology improvements.

     

    Responsibilities will also include creating and analyzing reports and spreadsheets; developing procedures and training staff; developing and improving quality improvement and technology processes for the units.

    Required Education and Experience

    Education

    Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school.

    Experience

    One year of experience equivalent to an experienced-level technician, paraprofessional, or professional; Office Supervisor 9 and 10, Secretary Supervisor 10, Emergency Dispatch Supervisor 10, or Human Resources Customer Service Supervisor 10.

    Work must be performed in the state of Michigan. If you currently reside outside of Michigan, you must relocate to Michigan to perform the duties of this position prior to being appointed to the position. Relocation expenses are not reimbursed.

     

    Hybrid Remote Work. This position is eligible to work remotely on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays, and must work onsite Tuesdays and Wednesdays. For remote work performance, this position requires a designated, secure, and appropriate workspace with reliable internet access (minimum 25 Mbps download, 5 Mbps upload).     Vacation and Sick Leave:Eligible full-time employees receive between15 and 35 personal daysand 13 sick daysper year that may be rolled over to the following year if not used. Eligible employees also receive an additional day each year for community service or school functions.

     

    Paid Parental Leave:Eligible employees can take 12 weeks of paid leaveimmediately after a birth or adoption to allow needed time together at home with a new child.

     

    Paid Holidays:Eligible employees receive 13 or 14 paid holidays each year including New Year’s Eve and Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents’ Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, the Fourth of July, Labor Day, Election Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving Friday, Christmas Eve and Day.
