    Description

    RDTS is seeking aQA/Testerto support the government of theState of Maryland. The position is fully onsite in Linthicum, MD and full time, Monday-Friday with standard office hours.

     

    The Quality Assurance Specialist provides quality management for information systems using the standard methodologies, techniques, and metrics for assuring product quality and key activities in quality management.

    This individual is responsible for performing the following tasks:

    + Establishing capable processes, monitoring and control of critical processes and product mechanisms for feedback of performance, implementing effective root cause analysis and corrective action system, and continuous process improvement.

    + Providing strategic quality plans in targeted areas of the organization.

    + Providing QA strategies to ensure continuous production of products consistent with established industry standards, government regulations, and customer requirements; and

    + Developing and implementing life cycle and QA methodologies and educating and implementing QA metrics.

    DUTIES:

    + Develop and document test cases, testing plans and procedures in an agile environment.

    + Develop, execute and coordinate IT software tests and evaluate results to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.

    + Design and prepare all test data needed. Reviews test results and evaluates for conformance to design.

    + Develop and document test cases, testing plans and procedures in an agile environment.

    + Develop and maintain automated regression and integration test plans for validation.

    + Communicate test results and feedback with business and IT stakeholders

    Requirements

    + Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related discipline.

    + Must have at least eight (8) years of information systems quality assurance experience.

    + Must have at least five (5) years of experience working with statistical methods and quality standards, including working QA/process knowledge and possess superior written and verbal communication skills.

    + Eight (8) years of experience as an analyst/tester on software projects in supporting requirement analysis, application test script development and execution.

    + Five (5) years of experience in mapping the business and technical requirements into test cases and generating test scripts.

    + Five (5) years of practical experience in using relational databases and generating SQL scripts is required.

    + Five (5) years of experience in using MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).

    + Strong ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical teams and users.

    + Capable of triaging change requests, incidents during all phases of design, development, testing and training using tracking tools such as VersionOne or Jira.

    + Practical knowledge in manual and automated testing, 508 compliance, performance, UAT, Unit, regression and integration testing.

    + Experience with automated testing and automated testing tools.

    + Experience in testing Web applications, Mobile applications in a cross platform and browser environment.

    + Experience in testing Java, JavaScript, jQuery, AngularJS, JMeter.

    + Experience in triaging change requests, incidents during all phases of design, development, testing and training.

    + Experience working with web services.
