    Shipping Supervisor

    Position Overview

    Shaw Industries is hiring a Shipping Supervisor to lead L Shift employees and complies with all safety, quality, production, waste, absenteeism, turnover, and housekeeping standards necessary to meet the departmental requirements assigned by the Department Manager. Interacts directly with other supervisors in the accomplishment of support and throughput objectives in the manufacturing , warehousing, and shipping process. Responsible for all necessary forecasting, planning, assigning, reporting, and follow-up for all departmental daily functions.

    Responsibilities:

    + Report directly to the Shipping Department Manager.

    + Direct and monitor all activity of Shipping personnel to ensure proper yarn and materials flow into and out of the warehouse and Shipping Department.

    + Implement procedures in the Shipping Department Standard Operating Procedure.

    + Directly accountable and responsible for the actions and safety of all Shipping personnel.

    + Initiates and promotes quality and safety to Shipping personnel.

    + Ensure all online safety courses are completed and h old safety meetings when required .

    + Implement the Positive Discipline Program to e nsure conformance of all individuals to company policies.

    + E nsure excellent housekeeping in all areas of responsibility.

    + Tour and inspect all areas of the Shipping Department.

    + Attend all company seminars relevant to the job duties of the Shipping supervisor.

    + Promote and participate in all department and plant related activities such as special events , celebrations, and other activities to boost morale of Shipping personnel.

    + E nsure proper paperwork compliance for all shipping/receiving activities for inbound and outbound freight .

    Requirements:

    + Bachelor’s degree or High School diploma/GED.

    + Minimum of 1-2 years supervisor (relief supervisor) experience.

    Work Shift

    12 Hr rotating shift, Hrs fall to in punch day, Act Calendar, days & AM/PM start time changes in the rotation
