    Job Description

    Staff Accountant - Hybrid

     

    An AI-driven software development company headquartered in Tampa, FL is looking for a Staff Accountant to join their team for a 6 month contract that could turn into a full time position. Our client specializes in enhancing the customer experience, streamline operations, and drive growth through cutting-edge technology. They focus on mobile ordering and payments to advanced point-of-sale systems. In this role you will support the accounting function across areas such as general ledger management, reconciliations, accounts receivable/payable, and month-end close.

    In this role you will:

    • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.

    • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.

    • Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processing as needed.

    • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations.

    • Assist with financial reporting and analysis to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, operations, customer success) to ensure accurate accounting for contracts, billing, and expenses.

    • Help with audits and compliance requirements by preparing documentation and schedules.

    • Support process improvements and best practices within the accounting function.

     

    We are looking to pay $35+ based on experience for this contract.

    Skills and Requirements

    A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business (or equivalent experience).

    3-5 years of experience

    Solid understanding of GAAP and accounting principles. Generally accepted account principles

     

    Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP/accounting systems (Sage Intacct, NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar) POS or SaaS/software company background
