    + Location: Monroe, NC

    + Duration: 10 Weeks (Summer Internship)

    + Eligible Students: Rising Juniors, Seniors, or Masters Candidates in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or Data Science

    At ATI, we develop the worlds most advanced materials for aerospace, defense, energy, and medical applications. As an R&D Intern, youll explore metallurgical science, contributing directly to projects that improve alloy performance, melt quality, and yield optimization.

     

    + What Youll Work On

     

    R&D Intern Projects

     

    + Titanium Alloy Characterization: Conduct microstructural evaluations and correlate them to processing variables and performance.

    + Heat Treatment Studies: Support alloy-specific heat treat trials, analyze hardness or phase response.

    + Forging and Rolling Trials: Participate in thermo-mechanical processing experiments and interpret property outcomes.
