Position Description
We invite applicants for a postdoctoral fellow position in the von Andrian laboratory in the Department of Immunology at Harvard Medical School, Boston, Massachusetts. The work of the von Andrian lab is focused on the molecular mechanisms of immune cell migration and homing in lymphoid and non-lymphoid tissues using intravital microscopy techniques. We welcome applications from recent PhD graduates who are interested in this or a related field, particularly those who may bring a new technology or perspective to bear on the work in the lab.
The successful candidate will work with Dr. von Andrian to develop an independent research project within the scope of the lab’s research. In addition to carrying out research, the successful candidate will be expected to apply for fellowship funding, contribute to the writing of grants and manuscripts, participate in teaching and mentoring of lab members as needed, and otherwise contribute to overall lab operations and collaborative environment.

Basic Qualifications
PhD and/or MD, or equivalent, in areas such as immunology, cell biology, physiology, microbiology, neurobiology, genetics, bioengineering, biochemistry, cell or computational biology, or related fields.
