    Description

    **Tradesmen International** is immediately hiring experienced **Marine Outside Machinists** for a project located in **San Diego, CA** . This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is up to $38/hour based on experience and skill level.     Job Scope:

    + Maintain & repair ships propulsion & auxiliary systems including steam turbine electrical, diesel propulsion, rudders steering gear elevators & Navy prep systems

    + Install, repair & maintain ships fluid systems including pumps, compressors, purifiers, heat exchangers, actuators & valves

    + Install & test various test equipment

    + Assemble/install complex mechanical systems

    Requirements:

    + Must pass background & drug screen

    + Must have high school diploma or equivalent

    + Must have 3+ years in related field, graduate from Diesel or Aircraft Mechanic training or 3 year Navy; MM, BT, AD, CM, EN, GS, HT or MR

    + Must be able to read & interpret mechanical drawings, written instructions, technical manuals, hydraulic/pneumatic diagrams etc

    + Must be have color vision and be able to walk, stand & frequently lift up to 50lbs
