Schedule: Full-time, Day Shift

Reports To: Service Center Manager

About Us:

Energy Management Corporation (EMC) has been around for over 40 years and is growing fast. We work with big electric motors, drives, and generators-selling, fixing, and servicing them for industrial companies.

We're looking for a skilled Manual Machinist (not CNC) to join our shop team.

What You'll Do:

+ Run lathes, mills, and other machines to cut and shape metal parts

+ Drill, bore, thread, and tap metal

+ Use welding, brazing, and soldering tools

+ Operate band saws, sanders, and grinders

+ Cut and undercut commutators

+ Use measuring tools (like calipers and micrometers) to check your work

+ Follow job instructions and customer standards

+ Operate forklifts (we'll train/certify you if needed)

+ Keep track of your time and fill out paperwork correctly

+ Keep your work area clean and safe

+ Follow safety rules and use protective gear

+ Help lift and move heavy parts (up to 50 lbs regularly)

What We're Looking For:

+ 3-5 years of hands-on machining experience

+ Comfortable using hand tools, measuring tools, and shop equipment

+ Solid welding and metalworking skills

+ Good mechanical sense and attention to detail

+ Able to work independently and follow instructions

+ Must speak and understand English

+ Team player who gets along well with others

+ High school diploma or GED required (college tech degree is a plus)
