Position Summary...
What you'll do...
As the Senior Director of Product Management for Promise, you will own the vision, strategy, and execution of Walmart’s customer promise—the commitment to deliver the right product, at the right time, with reliability and transparency. You will lead the development of innovative products and platforms that enable Walmart to meet and exceed customer expectations across eCommerce, stores, and last-mile delivery.
In this role, you’ll lead a team of product leaders and partner closely with engineering, design, supply chain, operations, and data science to build scalable solutions that optimize speed, accuracy, and convenience. Your leadership will shape Walmart’s competitive edge in omnichannel retail, directly impacting customer trust and loyalty.
Key Responsibilities
+ **Product Strategy & Vision**
+ Define the end-to-end product strategy for Walmart’s Promise platform, aligning to customer experience, supply chain capabilities, and business goals.
+ Own the roadmap for delivery accuracy, fulfillment speed, and transparency across omnichannel customer journeys.
+ Partner with senior executives across Technology, Supply Chain, and Operations to prioritize initiatives that drive measurable outcomes.
+ **Execution & Delivery**
+ Lead cross-functional product teams to deliver scalable and innovative solutions for fulfillment, delivery promise accuracy, and real-time customer updates.
+ Translate customer needs and business requirements into clear product requirements and launch plans.
+ Establish KPIs (e.g., promise accuracy, fulfillment lead times, delivery reliability, customer satisfaction) and drive continuous improvement against them.
+ **Innovation & Technology Integration**
+ Champion the use of data science, predictive analytics, and machine learning to improve promise accuracy and delivery optimization.
+ Partner with engineering to design flexible, API-driven platforms that power both customer-facing and internal experiences.
+ Anticipate future retail and logistics trends and build products that enable Walmart to scale with evolving customer expectations.
+ **Leadership & Team Development**
+ Lead, mentor, and grow a team of product managers and senior leaders, fostering a culture of customer obsession, accountability, and innovation.
+ Partner with UX design, engineering, and operations leaders to ensure seamless collaboration and execution.
+ Act as a thought leader and evangelist for Promise both internally and externally, shaping Walmart’s position in omnichannel product innovation.
Qualifications
+ 12+ years of product management experience with at least 5 years in senior/executive leadership.
+ Proven track record of building and scaling complex, customer-facing platforms in eCommerce, supply chain, or logistics.
+ Deep understanding of omnichannel retail, fulfillment, and last-mile delivery products.
+ Strong technical acumen and experience partnering with engineering, data science, and UX to build scalable platforms.
+ Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at the executive level.
+ MBA or advanced degree in Business, Technology, or related field preferred.

Sunnyvale, California US-08479:The annual salary range for this position is $208,000.00-$416,000.00
Bentonville, Arkansas US-09401:The annual salary range for this position is $160,000.00-$320,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related area and 12 years’ experience as a product manager, ideally working on consumer-facing, large-scale, highly complex B2B/C products, Supervisory experience, We value candidates with a background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly. The ideal candidate would have knowledge of accessibility best practices and join us as we continue to create accessible products and services following Walmart’s accessibility standards and guidelines for supporting an inclusive culture.
