    Direct Hire Machinist

    **Shift** : 2nd Monday to Friday 3pm -12am

    **Pay Rate** : $27.35 – $29.05/hour + shift differential

    Qualifications

    + Ability to read and interpret technical documents and write routine reports

    + Technical school certificate or **3+ years of related experience/training**

    + Strong math skills (fractions, percentages, ratios, geometry, trigonometry)

    + Problem-solving skills in non-standardized situations

    Physical ability to:

    + Stand continuously

    + Lift up to 30 lbs frequently, 50 lbs occasionally

    + Perform overhead reaching, pushing/pulling, climbing, kneeling, etc.

    + Visual acuity for close, distance, and peripheral vision

    + Comfortable working around **moving mechanical parts** in a **moderate noise** environment

    Responsibilities

    + Interpret blueprints, GD&T, and machining parameters

    + Manage stock inventory and order materials

    + Program and set up mills/lathes (including offsets, tool registers, etc.)

    + Operate machines and verify settings with sample workpieces

    + Perform machining operations: drilling, grooving, turning, knurling, thread chasing

    + Troubleshoot and adjust machine settings

    + Maintain equipment and perform preventive maintenance

    + Document production and quality logs

    + Ensure safety compliance and communicate across shifts
