    Job Summary

    The IT Program Manager Principal 2 is responsible for the management of multiple inter-dependent projects. Oversees all aspects of assigned programs throughout project lifecycles to ensure completion within the defined scope, quality, and time and cost constraints. Supervises individual project managers. Ensures accurate allocations of resources throughout the program. Leads multi- disciplinary teams, composed of various levels of personnel, vendors, and clients to create and deploy successful programs. Programs at PSEG are a group of related projects managed in a coordinated way to obtain benefits and control not available from managing them individually. Programs may contain elements of work outside of the scope of the discrete projects in the program. The main purpose of the role is to deliver program success through effective team and initiative management and robust adherence to the applied methodology and governance. Supports business and functional leaders to develop and implement actions aligned with business strategies and are responsible for optimizing the value proposition. This position supports the Nuclear IT organization. The portfolio includes NBU (Nuclear Business Unit) Applications, NBU Desktop Services, NBU Network (including Communications), NBU Mid-Range, Real-Time - Operational Technology (OT) and Nuclear Cybersecurity.

    Job Responsibilities

    + Budget -Manage program budget and expenditures for authorized amount within PSEG stage gate tolerances.

    + Program Execution – Lead and manage programs by coordinating activities and delivery across multiple, related projects or work streams that span technology and areas. Ensures program meets schedule and scope targets.

    + Risk Management - (RAID Management) – Identify, develop mitigation plans, and monitor to drive timely and effective escalation and risk/issue resolution. Anticipate issues and/or complications, and respond well to time pressures. Track dependencies and risks, and assessing change impact across interdependent work streams and projects. Capture all pertinent actions and decisions.

    + Leadership and Oversight – Provide oversight and guidance to those managing smaller projects within specific business unit domain.

    + Resource Management - Work closely with internal departments to allocate the necessary resources for each project.Oversees project resources to deliver required project artifacts/goals

    + Stakeholder Engagement – Use effective people engagement skills to drive contact with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle to manage expectations, establish timelines, and grow relationships. Ensure alignment on scope, value proposition and overall project goals. Work with functional departments to coordinate systems testing, deployment, training, and support.

    + Communication - Track and communicate progress; Provide project status report updates to project stakeholders through project level and executive steering committees, maintaining an effective communication cadence. Ensure proper communication and change management processes are adopted for all major change initiatives.

    + Team Oversight and Development – Manage team and work to build core competencies within the area with a focus on operational excellence

    + Vendor Management - Oversees vendor deliverables, ensures vendor adherence to contract terms, works with leadership on vendor performance and SLA compliance

    + Project Artifact Management - Facilitate project tailoring and artifact development to align with project management processes in accordance with project sizing.

    Job Specific Qualifications

    + IT Program Manager requires 6+ years if with Bachelors degree (8 years without) of experience in leading large projects.

    + Understanding of and experience with IT project management methodologies, requirements management, quality assurance and IT processes from project inception to successful implementation.

    + Understanding of financial principles including experience with project financial budgeting and planning.

    + Strong communication, organization, and facilitation skills. Effective presentation skills and the ability to articulate complex concepts to cross functional audiences.

    + Experience managing outsourced vendors (on and off shore).

    + Strong judgment and analytical ability.

    + Leadership, teamwork and interpersonal skills.

    + Ability to foster working relationships with the team, IT Management and functional departments.

    + Experience in supervising/managing program team members or direct reports as part of program execution

    + Must meet nuclear requirements for Unescorted Site Access.

    + A valid Real ID or an approved form of alternate documentation (see https://www.pseg.com/IDrequirement ) is required for this position by May 7, 2027.

    + Compliance with the Department of Energy’s regulation 10 CFR 810 is required.

    Desired

    + Previous experience supporting nuclear power generation or similar industry

    + Experience in projects in two or more functional areas (applications, infrastructure, OT, cybersecurity)

    + Familiarity with ServiceNow, SmartSheets and Engage platforms

    + Understanding of financial management practices, budget management, and long range planning processes
