Job Summary

Provide technical support in the Nuclear Strategic Projects Balance of Plant department for the **Salem** **Power Uprate Project** . The successful candidate will perform the duties as a Civil/Structural Design Engineer for the power uprate for Salem Units 1 and 2. The engineer is responsible for designing and implementing civil and structural power uprate modifications.

Job Responsibilities

+ Provide technical leadership to ensure plant modifications and project activities comply with structural engineering standards, codes, and regulatory requirements.

+ Interface with Project Manager, contractors and engineering staff to ensure that Engineering deliverables meet the overall project goals.

+ Provide field support during modification walkdowns, installation, testing and as-built verification.

+ Comply with regulatory requirements including 50.59, License Amendment Request preparation and any required supporting analysis.

+ Perform other assigned duties as determined by the Balance of Plant Engineering Manager.

+ Assigned duties in the Emergency Response Organization.

Job Specific Qualifications

+ BS Degree in Structural / Civil Engineering or related Engineering / Technical degree.

+ Minimum of 10 years of experience in structural / civil engineering

+ Availability for shift work during installation.

+ Must meet nuclear requirements for unescorted plant access.

+ Must possess a valid US driver's license and maintain a satisfactory driving record.

+ A valid Real ID or an approved form of alternate documentation (https://www.pseg.com/IDrequirement) is required for this job. Must provide appropriate documentation to meet access requirements on the date of hire.

+ Compliance with the Department of Energy’s regulation 10 CFR 810 is required

Desired

+ Power uprate experience at a pressurized water reactor (PWR)

+ Experience in the nuclear or relevant industry performing Structural/seismic design/analysis.

+ Knowledge of AISC & ACI design codes, NRC requirements for safety-related structures, and software analysis tools such as GT Strudl or equivalent.

+ Prior Design Engineering configuration control qualifications

+ Professional Engineering license (NJ or other state)

+ Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
