About the Role:
As a CBRE Facilities Manager, you will oversee exterior facility operations and soft services for a designated data center campus. This position involves managing daily operations, maintaining vendor relationships, overseeing budgets, and ensuring adherence to safety standards.
This job is a part of the Facilities Management functional area which focuses on all aspects of the operations of a set of assets, providing support to the Property Managers regarding all repairs and investment plans.
What You’ll Do:
+ Supervise daily services for mostly exterior operations, including landscaping, snow removal, general repairs and any other services required.
+ Lead and mentor a team of two onsite staff members, coordinating and managing facility repairs and maintenance by collaborating with technicians, vendors, and contractors.
+ Organize and oversee the team’s daily activities, establishing work schedules, assigning tasks, and cross-training staff. Track and ensure completion of staff and department deadlines, providing coaching and guidance as needed.
+ Develop and maintain vendor relationships to ensure service quality, compliance standards, and proper invoicing procedures. Review and approve price quotes for parts, services, and labor related to projects.
+ Prepare and administer budgets, forecasts, and monthly operational reports.
+ Address client inquiries and resolve facility-related issues promptly and professionally.
+ Cultivate positive client relationships and conduct meetings to address unresolved facility concerns.
+ Ensure compliance with safety protocols and comprehensive Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs).
+ Manage work order processes and maintain accurate documentation within the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
+ Lead capital projects related to exterior facility improvements, including preparing and managing project budgets and variance reports.
+ Foster effective communication and collaboration with stakeholders across the campus to coordinate operations efficiently.
+ Provide formal supervision to staff, monitor their training and development, and conduct performance evaluations and coaching sessions.
+ Perform facility inspections and quality assurance audits in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations, identifying opportunities for operational improvements, repairs, and upgrades.
+ Oversee environmental health and safety procedures for all facilities.
+ Conduct process and procedure training on maintenance, repairs, and safety best practices.
+ Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence parties of shared interests to reach an agreement.
+ Apply knowledge of own discipline and how own discipline integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.
+ Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues which may or may not be evident in existing systems and processes.
What You’ll Need:
+ Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Valid driver's license required. Facility Management certification preferred.
+ Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention preferred.
+ Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.
+ Leadership skills to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job discipline and department.
+ Extensive organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.
+ Advanced math skills. Ability to calculate difficult figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
