    Job Summary and Qualifications

     

    Catering Workers exhibit a friendly, caring attitude to patients while introducing the “Catering to You” program while taking menu selections, delivering trays, and inquiring during catering rounds and retrieving trays.

    You will be responsible for but not limited to:

    • Patient food service on assigned units and menu selections

    • Tray assembly, delivery, and pick up on assigned units

    • Handling special requests/needs and in-between meal food delivery

    • Utilize appropriate portion control

    • Ensures that the correct diet is prepared for the patient by physician’s orders.

    • Speak menu to all patients except those receiving a clear liquid, full liquid or pureed diet

    • Communicate patient needs to appropriate staff while maintaining patient confidentiality

    • Knowledge of safety and sanitation rules and regulations

    • Assist in dish room with dishwashing and storage of clean dishes

    What qualifications you will need:

    • High School Diploma or GED required

    • 1 year of customer service experience is required

    • 1 year of food service experience is highly preferred
