This position supports the Training & Development section, which is tasked with delivering leadership, managerial, supervisory, technical, and HR training to employees at all levels. The section also provides oversight and ensures consistency across all departmental training and is responsible for managing the Pathways Leadership Program.
The purpose of this role is to manage, coordinate, and execute all aspects of training and development programs across the department.
This includes:
+ Planning, developing, and implementing program sessions and activities, ensuring alignment with departmental goals and HR strategy.
+ Overseeing logistical and operational functions to support seamless program delivery, including space coordination, scheduling, and materials preparation.
+ Managing program budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
+ Negotiating and managing vendor contracts for services such as facilitation, catering, or materials.
+ Ensuring that all technical and IT needs are addressed, including troubleshooting issues related to digital delivery platforms and systems such as SharePoint, SAP and LMS administration.
+ Managing and updating content and communications related to programs, including maintaining SharePoint, distributing program materials, and overseeing email communications.
+ Facilitating discussions and learning sessions as needed and providing exceptional customer service to internal stakeholders and program participants.
+ Supporting leadership development initiatives, including the Pathways Leadership Program, to build workforce capability and support organizational effectiveness.
This position requires strong skills in project and event coordination, technical proficiency, budget and contract management, stakeholder communication, and a commitment to delivering high-quality professional development experiences across a large and diverse workforce.
The program area for this position includes one or more of the following: Working knowledge of training program implementation, experience coordinating or planning staff development initiatives and/or experience providing in-person training for adults.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies
Management prefers applicants that demonstrate the following:
+ Knowledge of project management principles and practices, including program planning, coordination, budgeting, contract negotiation, and logistical execution within defined constraints.
+ Skill in using IT systems such as SharePoint, SAP, LMS Administration and digital communication tools, including maintaining websites, managing email distribution accounts, and troubleshooting technical issues related to program delivery.
+ Working experience in delivering high-quality customer service, building and sustaining long-term relationships with internal and external clients, and handling sensitive or confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
+ Experience managing multiple tasks in fast-paced environments with strong attention to detail, including maintaining accurate records

Bachelor’s degree from an appropriately accredited institution and three (3) years of experience related to the area of assignment; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
