    Our client, a leader in healthcare facility management, is seeking a Building Maintenance Engineer or Technician to join their team. As a Building Maintenance Engineer or Technician, you will be part of the Engineering and Technical Services supporting maintenance and repair operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, patience, and excellent communication abilities, which will align successfully in the organization.

     

    **Job Title:** Building Maintenance Engineer or Technician

    **Location:** Eureka, CA

    **Pay Range:** $35/hr. - $38/hr.

     

    What's the Job?

     

    + Perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural components.

    + Inspect and review building and industrial systems such as fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure optimal operation and compliance with safety standards.

    + Manage work orders by estimating time and materials needed, maintaining inventory of supplies and tools.

    + Operate company-issued vehicles responsibly to travel between various healthcare facility locations within Humboldt County.

    + Ensure all work complies with applicable codes, regulations, and safety directives, fostering a safe and efficient work environment.

     

    What's Needed?

     

    + High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of relevant experience.

    + EPA certification preferred, with a valid driver’s license required.

    + Ability to perform physical tasks including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and lifting/carrying loads of 50 lbs. or more.

    + Knowledge of HVAC systems, basic Microsoft Office skills, and experience with CMMS systems.

    + Willingness to adapt to new solutions and exercise sound judgment based on multiple sources of information.
