    POSITION SUMMARY

    Under general supervision, transports specimens, reports, and supplies between various hospitals and medical facilities and the main laboratory.

    CORE FUNCTIONS

    1. Provides quality service to clients through communication, picking up specimens, delivering lab results, and supplies.

    2. Operates company vehicle. Responsibilities include safety of vehicle, updated maintenance sheet, safe and defensive driving of vehicle.

    3. Maintains route sheet.

    4. Communicates with dispatch by radio, beeper, or telephone.

    5. Provides training to new drivers on all functions of job duties.

    6. Job requires computer skills to create and verify transport lists.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

    + Ability to train new drivers on job functions.

    + Ability to operate a computer.

    + Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    + Requires valid Arizona driver's license.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    + Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
