    Job Title: Assembler

    Job Description

    We are seeking an assembler to join a leading manufacturer of industrial sampling equipment. The role involves assembling equipment for oil and gas, refineries, wastewater treatment, and more. This position requires a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work with various tools and machinery.

    Responsibilities

    + Assemble gauges, metal cabinets, and instrumentation lines for sampling equipment.

    + Read blueprints, general arrangements (G&A), and occasionally piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).

    + Lay out materials, tighten bolts, and assemble gauges and sampling tools.

    + Operate a drill press to punch holes and use manual lathes and mills for material shaping.

    + Create threads on tubes and other equipment, as well as buff, grind, and polish parts.

    + Perform laser stamping on products and bend rods/tubing, occasionally performing light TIG welding.

    + Conduct hydro testing and other quality checks on finished products.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience with mechanical assembly and a mechanical inclination.

    + Proficiency in operating mills or lathes.

    + Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

    + Strong problem-solving skills for diagnosing issues.

    + Attention to detail and proficiency in power tool operation.

    + Experience with grinding, welding, machining, threading, TIG welding, and hydro testing.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Interest in working on cars and strong ambition.

    + Proficient computer skills.

    + Strong shipping and receiving experience, particularly with international shipping.

    + Ability to move large crates with a jib crane.

    + Willingness to travel to other sites after approximately one year.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a small, well-organized, air-conditioned shop with a team of eight. The company is expanding, with a new building under construction. Many employees have long tenures, with opportunities to advance into other departments over time. Dress code includes steel toes, jeans, work shirt, and safety glasses. Work the first shift, Monday through Thursday, with the option for Friday and occasional Saturday work depending on the schedule. Typically, work 40-45 hours per week.

    The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $52000.00/yr.
