Job Title: Corrosion Control Technician III
Job Description
The Corrosion Control Technician III is responsible for using various substances and tools to install, inspect, repair, maintain, adjust, and control corrosion on impressed current and sacrificial anode cathodic protection systems. This advanced-level role requires a deep understanding of corrosion control techniques and procedures.
Responsibilities
+ Use hand tools, precision instruments, and specialized equipment to install, inspect, repair, maintain, and adjust cathodic protection systems.
+ Prepare test instruments, conduct field tests, and collect data for report preparation.
+ Conduct preliminary analysis of data to determine appropriate actions, including generating repair work or referring information for advanced analysis.
+ Prepare technical reports using pre-formatted PC-based systems for data collection and report generation.
+ Remove, repair, restore, and apply industrial coatings to control corrosion, and perform routine cleaning and maintenance of equipment.
+ Maintain, repair, or replace cathodic protection systems.
+ Perform other related duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
+ Four years of experience in corrosion control, with an associate's degree in engineering or related fields substitutable for two years of experience.
+ Thorough familiarity with repairing electrical and electronic cathodic protection equipment.
+ Proficiency in using electrical and electronic test equipment.
+ Ability to select and apply industrial protective coatings.
+ Basic math and communication skills.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
+ Ability to meet physical and security requirements, including respirator qualification.
+ Possession of a valid state driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
+ Certification and/or training by the National Association of Corrosion Engineers (N.A.C.E.) and possession of a NACE International Cathodic Protection Technologist (CP2) or higher level of certification.

This is a Contract position based out of Bremerton, Washington.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.16 - $45.16/hr.
