Job Title: Outside Sales Representative

Job Description

Join a dynamic and growing team as a Construction Equipment & Tool Sales Representative. This role requires a proactive individual who excels in building strong relationships and driving business growth within the New Haven, Fairfield, and Lower Litchfield Counties. With a focus on the construction industry, this position offers an opportunity to be a trusted partner for contractors by providing high-quality equipment solutions.

Responsibilities

+ Manage and expand an existing client base across designated territories.

+ Prospect and establish new client relationships through cold calling, site visits, and networking.

+ Follow up on qualified leads provided by the inside sales team.

+ Conduct on-site visits to assess client needs and recommend appropriate equipment solutions.

+ Deliver persuasive sales presentations and negotiate agreements.

+ Serve as the primary contact for account management and customer service.

+ Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery, service, and support.

+ Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline, and customer interactions.

Essential Skills

+ Minimum of 2 years' experience in outside sales, preferably in construction equipment or a related field.

+ Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

+ Self-motivated, organized, and goal-oriented.

+ Ability to travel regularly to client sites across Connecticut.

+ Clean driving record.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Familiarity with construction tools and equipment is a plus.

+ Experience in a client-facing/customer service role for at least 1 year.

+ Proficiency in Excel or CRM software.

+ Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and data entry.

+ Tech-savvy individuals with 2-5 years of construction equipment sales experience are preferred.

Work Environment

This role involves on-road traveling with occasional office or home-based work as needed. The representative is expected to visit the office once a week.
