    Job Title: Test Engineer (Weekend)

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Electrical Test Engineer with hardware experience to work on Large Form Assembly (LFA) products. The role involves troubleshooting control wires, data infrastructure, and contributing to the development of Design of Experiments (DOE) and data gathering to resolve ongoing failure trends.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform detailed analysis on test quality of the product assigned, identify trends, and spearhead corrective actions.

    + Read and interpret schematics, troubleshoot, and solve problems for low-voltage switchgear.

    + Contribute to the development of DOE and data gathering to resolve ongoing failure trends.

    + Document instructions (cookbook) for testing and building test rigs.

    + Troubleshoot proprietary automated test rigs, processes, and equipment.

    + Collaborate with internal engineers and customers to ensure design for excellence and testability.

    + Solve random failures by interrogating test logs, software, physical measurements, and visual identification.

    + Understand and modify test scripts as needed.

    + Address root causes and implement corrective actions for product failures, such as wiring and sensor issues.

    Essential Skills

    + High-level knowledge in reading and interpreting schematics.

    + Troubleshooting and problem-solving for low-voltage switchgear.

    + Proficiency in Siemens PLCs and understanding of Siemens – R700 code.

    + Electrical experience with 3-phase A/C (up to 480v) and control voltage (24vDC).

    + Ability to troubleshoot hardware and debug software.

    + Root cause analysis and test development.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Bachelor of Science in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline, or 6+ years of experience in lieu.

    + 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in a manufacturing-related industry, or an equivalent mix of education and experience.

    + Experience with DFX (design for excellence) and DFT (design for testability).

    + Basic coding foundation and ability to read ladder and wiring codes.

    Work Environment

    The role is based in a contract manufacturing setting that is clean and climate-controlled. The environment supports a global leader in the industry, offering a structured and well-equipped facility for testing and development tasks.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Memphis, Tennessee.

     

    Hours: Friday - Monday, 8 a.m. - 6 p.m.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $40.38 - $40.38/hr.
