ATS is seeking an API 510/570/653 Engineering Consultant to support our Mechanical Integrity Department at ATS Richmond, VA office located in Rockville, VA. This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week with the potential for overtime.

Responsibilities:

+ Perform field inspections of industrial equipment (storage tanks, pressure vessels, and piping systems).

+ Generate calculations in accordance with API, ASME, STI, etc.

+ Generate written reports utilizing MS Word and MS Excel.

+ Develop AutoCAD drawings or isometrics.

+ Manage projects ranging from $5,000 - $100,000.

+ Manage client relationships.

Qualifications

Requirements:

+ Bachelor of Science in Mechanical/Structural Engineering or closely related field preferred.

+ 5 years of experience in Mechanical Integrity.

+ Must be willing to travel 30% out of office.

+ Any of the following certifications: API-510, API-570, API-653, CWI.

+ Proficient in Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint

+ Experience with AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks preferred.

+ Engineer in Training (EIT) and /or desired to acquire Professional Engineer (PE) preferred.

Work Conditions:

+ Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection.

+ Work from heights on scaffolding, ladders, elevated platforms, man-baskets, etc.

+ Work in confined spaces which will require crawling, stooping, climbing, etc.

+ Work in around operating equipment and industrial environments.

+ Work with radiation and hazardous materials such as cleaners, penetrants, film developing chemicals, etc.
